Coaching Coaching is an increasingly popular and effective way of offering targeted support, cost effectively, to members of management. Coaching can be provide in two ways – either over the phone which is the most common or face to face which is often more appropriate and productive at senior levels. Typically coaching will last a minimum of 3 sessions and run for up to 3 months – although rarely longer than this. Often coaching is based around specific organisational aims or personal needs at that time. Coaching will help define objectives and detail action plans as well as providing independent support and advice in achieving targets. The coach will provide positive encouragement and help break down barriers to reach goals and good coaching focuses an individual on what they need to achieve and what they themselves are going to do to make plans happen.
