We are delighted to be able to offer our newly developed Business game for Retailers, designed to enhance commercial awareness and decision making in a Retail environment.

The Retail Business Game

The Retail management Business Game is designed to help you develop your management teams and build on their commercial awareness.

Managers will be immersed in running a business with the opportunities, challenges, business decisions, financial and time constraints that are experienced while running a real business.

They will not have the advantage of passing responsibility upwards so become the Key Decision makers to grow their awareness of strategic decisions.

It is recommended each “Game” involves around 16 to 20 delegates, i.e. 4 or 5 teams containing 4 delegates each. Each team forms the 'Executive Board' and is briefed in 4 stages (Year 1 to Year 4) with decisions made across a range of business functions each year.

A successful Business simulation is a very memorable and enjoyable business experience with opportunities to deliver key messages affecting your own business throughout.

The Retail Business Game can be used;

• to deliver a financially focused training package in a fun way

• as a team building exercise
• to identify those individuals with “real” management / senior management potential
• or simply to create a highly competitive, motivated and financially aware supervisory / management team

Once the Business Game is under way observations can be made on teams to help with development and succession planning, determining;

• Which individuals take the lead and delegate duties to the team?
• Which individuals are time-conscious?
• Which individuals prefer to work alone?
• Do any individuals seem out of their depth?

This game allows participants to understand the different pressures on management decisions and to assess "where their role fits".

Participants see how their business decisions impact on other functional areas of the business and ultimately on business performance, which helps build their understanding of business resources and targets, priorities and objectives.
